Server management

This page goes over how to perform actions which require an administrator account on Pterodactyl. This is not the same as simply having an account.

Creating a new server

See: Spinning up servers.

Deleting a server

  1. Log into the panel at https://edcgaming.org.
  2. Click the cog icon on the top right to access the administrative section of Pterodactyl.
  3. Select Servers from the left side-bar.
  4. Click the name of the server in question.
  5. Click the Delete tab.

You will see 2 options.

  • Safely Delete Server
  • Force Delete Server

Use the Safely Delete Server option first. If the panel reports the action failed, and you are not a systems operator, escalate to one.

Suspending and unsuspending a server

Suspending a server disables the ability to turn the server on, manipulate the server in any way, or access files (via the panel or FTP). If the server is on at the time of the suspension it will be shut down automatically.

  1. Log into the panel at https://edcgaming.org.
  2. Click the cog icon on the top right to access the administrative section of Pterodactyl.
  3. Select Servers from the left side-bar.
  4. Click the name of the server in question.
  5. Click the Manage tab.
  6. Click the orange Suspend Server button.

Removing a suspension is done in the same way. The Manage tab will have a green Unsuspend Server button to press.

Reinstall server

Warning

The button to reinstall a server takes effect immediately. You will want to double check you have selected the right server.

This action will wipe the server of all data and then reinstall it based on the server's egg.

  1. Log into the panel at https://edcgaming.org.
  2. Click the cog icon on the top right to access the administrative section of Pterodactyl.
  3. Select Servers from the left side-bar.
  4. Click the name of the server in question.
  5. Click the Manage tab.
  6. Click the red Reinstall Server button.
